De Frije Wiken
The southern Friesche Wouden is surprisingly varied, a bocage landscape interspersed with beautiful heather fields, groves, fens and canals. part of this area bears the name “De Frije Wiken”.
A detour quickly turns into a nice walk along meadows, canals and groves. Enjoy a totally different face of Friesland.
In the spring of 2015, the network of hiking nodes was built in our area, making it easier for hikers to find their way.
Minicamping
Our campsite offers a nice base for nice walks through the area or a base for one of the long hiking trails. The field is surrounded by a tree wall, fruit trees and berry bushes. These offer shelter and shade, but also enough visibility to enjoy rural views.
Because we focus on touring campers and do not rent out seasonal pitches, the field is well maintained and it is a wonderful experience to walk barefoot through the grass or have a nice picnic in front of the tent.
