Countryside camping Minicamping Singel is a quiet rural campsite located in the "frije wijken" in the heart of the southern Frisian Forests. An area of peace and space in the middle of the typical bocage landscape and the district pattern of yesteryear. A piece of unknown Friesland where you can cycle and enjoy the countryside. Over the years, our small campsite has been expanded with a tea terrace, a local shop and we give workshops.

At our small campsite we offer space for 16 spacious camping pitches and five spacious camper pitches. We do not offer seasonal pitches. We do welcome campers on bicycles or hikers on one of the long-distance hiking trails.
Guests who come camping must show a valid Nature Camping Card upon arrival. The Green Booklet with nature camping map is available from us.

In front of the farm, under the trees, there is a pleasant tea terrace. Also at the back between the barns. Rest points, not only for camping guests, but also for passers-by who want to take a break. An ice cream, a piece of homemade cake or your own sandwich, it's all possible.

Streekwinkel

The Streekwinkel has a small range of mainly organic dairy products. Cheese from the knife, milk, buttermilk, full-fat yoghurt, rice porridge and semolina porridge from the Weerribben brand. Greet also purchases 1 kilo of cheese from surrounding cheese farms for packages. In addition to these regional products, there are tasty orange juice or cheese dippers. Also fry & flour, chocolate supplies for delicious cooking.

Camping is an experience that we offer with simplicity and respect for rural life. Nature camping site 'Minicamping' Singel is simple, neat and spacious. Camping guests are very welcome to join us for morning coffee, for information about cycle routes, to exchange experiences or for a nice chat.

At the edge of our small campsite we have placed a hiker's hut in the tree wall. We know from our own experience how much fun it can be to spend the night in his cozy accommodation. With a view over the meadows, our hut offers every opportunity to relax after a bike ride or just a few days of nothing. The hiker's hut provides guests on bicycles or hikers with sleeping accommodation for four people. But it is of course very suitable for enjoying peace and space as a couple.

Workshops

Minicamping Singel also provides workshops. With a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 participants, the most delicious cupcakes, chocolates, braided breads or birthday cakes are made. And everyone takes home their self-made products. We work with Soezie baking and flour products, Frisian regional products and Belgian chocolate.

footprint

To reduce our environmental impact and contribute to CO2 reduction, we installed solar panels on our shed in 2013. We have equipped all showers in the new sanitary building with a shower WTW and to save drinking water we have installed a rainwater well to be able to flush toilets with rain water.

To give our commitment to the environment more visibility, we started the registration procedure for Greenkey certification ↬ in 2021. We are therefore pleased that we can use the greenkey logo as of May 19, 2022.
